Day 1: Sydney. Arrive in Sydney, meet your tour guide and new group and get ready for your Aussie adventure.
Day 2: Sydney City Tour. Get to know the spectacular city of Sydney! Pose in front of the Sydney Opera House and spot Harbour Bridge before heading out for a few drinks.
Day 3: Bondi Beach. Today we’ll take you to another iconic destination, Bondi Beach! Take a dip in the gorgeous water and soak up the sun as we wander the Bondi to Coogee Coastal walk. Feast on a delicious BBQ tonight and then board the overnight bus to Byron Bay.
Day 4. Byron Bay. This unique surf town is bohemian beach vibes only! The perfect place to top up your tan, grab a coffee from a quirky cafe and swim in the sea. After a beach sunset, check out the local bars.
Day 5: Byron Bay. Tackle the waves in one of Australia’s most famed surf spots and unwind with a yoga class - this is Aussie living!
Day 6: Cape Byron Lighthouse. Rise and shine for one of the best sunrises on the East Coast. Wander up to Cape Byron Lighthouse and look across the tranquil ocean.
Day 7: Surfers Paradise. Check into your hostel in Surfers Paradise, the ideal spot to enjoy the Gold Coast. Fall in love with the dreamy beaches and enjoy a sunset BBQ.
Day 8: Surfers Paradise. Take in Surfers Paradise's iconic coastline on SUP this morning as you paddle through the mangroves. This afternoon you have a work help session where you will be given lots of essential info on how to live and work in Australia.
Day 9: Brisbane. See the best of Brisbane with an exciting orientation tour. Sunbathe in tropical paradise as we chill out at ‘The Lagoon’, the only city man-made beach in Australia!
Day 10: Brisbane. Your tour may be over today but the adventure is only just beginning! We’ll help with your onward travel arrangements, including an optional flight back to Sydney for an added cost.
Beyond the tour - The Job Search
After your first 10 days exploring Australia’s East Coast, you can begin focusing on securing your new job Down Under. On the tour, you will have received a thorough ‘Work in Oz’ presentation from your group leader. They will offer one-to-one advice on your CV and interview skills and make sure you feel prepared to find the perfect job. The local team will also have made sure that your Australian bank account is open before you arrive, your Australian SIM card is sorted and you have your Tax File Number.
Throughout your time in Australia, our job offices have friendly staff who are dedicated to supporting you. If you have specific training or qualifications that need completing for jobs, they can explain what is needed and book you onto any courses. You will also have unlimited access to a jobs board, where amazing opportunities are posted daily.

You will receive an included airport transfer from the airport. If you are arriving before Day 1, we can still organise an included airport transfer and book you into your starting hostel for extra nights.
The tour ends in Brisbane on day 10. It is up to you whether you continue your travels, look for work in the Brisbane area or travel back to Sydney to look for work. There is no need to decide in advance, as your local guide will be able to assist you in booking travel or accommodation when in country.
Accommodation
This tour includes 9 nights of accommodation. You will stay in excellent, centrally located hostels with mixed shared rooms. Below is an example of accommodation you may stay in during your trip. Please note all accommodation is subject to change.

Meals
This tour includes 2 breakfasts, 1 lunch and 2 dinners. You will need to buy the remainder of the meals yourself, which is a great opportunity to explore the destinations we visit and try delicious local food.
British citizens aged between 18-35 (inclusive) are eligible for Working Holiday Visa. You can apply through us by selecting "+ Visa" in the dropdown menu when booking, or you can arrange your visa yourself.
To be eligible for a visa, you’ll need to meet the following requirements:
- Hold a passport issued by an eligible country or region*
- Be aged 18-35 (inclusive) at the time of applying*
- Not be accompanied by dependent children at any time during your stay in Australia
- Meet health, character and financial requirements
- Have not previously entered Australia on a Working Holiday visa (unless applying for a second or third year visa)
- Be outside Australia when you apply and when visa is granted
- Apply within 12 months of intended travel to Australia.
- Have sufficient funds to cover your expected living/trip costs during your stay
- Have funds for a return or onward ticket to depart Australia (or an actual ticket)
- Have health insurance
Please note: If you have a criminal record, you are still able to apply for a Working Holiday Visa yourself, but we will not be able to process your visa for you.
*Certain other nationalities are also eligible for this visa, although some countries the age limit is 30 years old. For full details please see our Australian Working Holiday Visa page.
Second and Third Year Visas
Due to the free trade agreement between the UK and Australia, British citizens can apply for up to 3 working holiday visas without the need to do rural/farm work to be eligible. This allows British citizens to stay in Australia for up to 3 years in total. Each visa is granted separately and is valid for 1 year. Second and third year visas can be done consecutively, but they don't need to be. As long as you meet the standard age and eligibility requirements you can apply at any time, either from Australia or abroad. Gap 360 can help you apply for the first year visa, but you will need to apply directly for any second or third year visas yourself once you have started your first year visa in Australia.
