Day 1: Cancun. Hola amigos and welcome to Mexico! You’ll be met from the airport and taken to your starting accommodation in lively Cancun. Meet the rest of your group tonight and head out for a margarita!
Day 2: Isla Holbox. Are you ready for paradise? We’re off to the sleepy tropical island of Holbox today. Spend the afternoon swimming, bronzing your bod, or chilling in a sea hammock – bliss!
Day 3: Isla Holbox boat trip. You’re in for a treat today with a trip around three beautiful islands. First up is Bird Island, which is home to many beautiful birds that you will only find here! Next up is ‘’Eye Of The Water’’ cenote, a large natural pool with freshwater springs in the middle of mangroves. Last but definitely not least, we’re off to Passion Island which is the seasonal home to flocks of PINK FLAMINGOS!
Day 4: Chichen Itza & Merida. It’s a real bucket-list moment today with a visit to Chichen Itza. After exploring the Mayan site, go for a swim in one of Mexico’s most beautiful cenotes, before travelling on to the beautiful colonial city of Merida.
Day 5: Merida. We’ll cycle between three stunning cenotes this morning. Spend the afternoon in Merida as you choose. Then try some regional cuisine at a food court, followed by a tequila and mescal tasting at a local bar. Last up, we’ll get our salsa on at one of the live music joints.
Day 6: Bacalar. Bacalar sits on the ‘Lake of Seven Colours’, so called because its colours range from indigo to palest turquoise. Spend the afternoon swimming or kayaking before enjoying sundowners by the water’s edge – lush!
Day 7: Bacalar. Today we’ll explore the stunning lagoon on a super fun local boat. We’ll stop at several spots to get those killer Insta shots and to swim in the stunning waters.
Day 8: Tulum. Home to dazzling beaches, spectacular Mayan ruins and lots of cenotes, Tulum’s a real all-rounder. Spend the afternoon exploring the town, or relaxing on the beach, before checking out the nightlife.
Day 9: Tulum. We’re off to Tulum Ruins today. They’re perched on a stunning cliff top with views out over the ocean and a blindingly white beach - make sure you’ve got your camera ready! Take a dip in the sea after and grab a cocktail at one of the quirky beach lounges.
Day 10: Playa Del Carmen. Spend your last full day in Playa Del Carmen, a popular town with lovely beaches, excellent reefs and buzzing nightlife. Hit the boutiques, top up your tan, or go snorkelling. Tonight we’ll head out for a farewell dinner and drinks with the group.
Day 11: Playa Del Carmen and trip end. It’s time to pack your stuff and to say adios to your amigos. See you again soon!

Cancun International Airport (CUN) is the nearest airport to both locations. You’ll be met from the airport on arrival by one of our local team and taken to the accommodation. There are no activities planned for day 1 apart from dinner and drinks with the group in the evening, so arrive at a time that suits you.
The trip ends on day 11 in Playa Del Carmen. It takes around an hour to get to the airport by taxi. You’ll need to arrange your own return transfers, although your guide can help with this.
Accommodation
10 nights of accommodation are included on this trip. Rooms are on a twin share basis with the exception of Tulum which are a dorm share. If you wish to arrive before the trip start date, we can book additional nights of accommodation for you at an extra cost. Please contact a travel advisor for more information.
Meals
1 lunch is included. You’ll need to buy the rest of your meals yourself. This allows you maximum flexibility to eat where and when you like. From carnitas and tostados to mole and quesadillas, foodies will be well catered for in Mexico. Street-food vendors offer maximum flavour at minimum cost, so you can still eat extremely well on a budget here!
You need to be 18 to take part in this trip. This trip is designed for 18-35 years olds.
British nationals don’t need a visa to visit Mexico, but you’ll need to complete an immigration form and have it with you when you enter and when you leave. Your passport must be valid for the proposed duration of your stay in Mexico and at least 180 days after entry. Visa requirements are subject to change. Please check with the relevant embassy before you travel.
