Escape to the Austrian Alps this ski season. Every night is an après occasion when you stay at a sociable chalet. After a long day on the slopes, there’s no cosier way to warm up than a trip to the ever-lively Schnapps bar where there’s a themed party most nights. Or if you’re after something more low-key, the chalet also comes with its own on-site sauna and lounge room. Set your own pace for the week, as the flexible itinerary is made for you to plan your ski sessions and included activities as you see fit.

Days 1-7: Après and skiing go hand-in-hand on this trip. Especially since the chalet you’ll be staying at has themed parties almost every day! Located in Hopfgarten, you are in the perfect spot for a skication.The Schnapps bar has all the drinks, music and fellow travellers you could need to unwind and socialise. If you’re after a more chilled-out evening, check out the communal lounge equipped with board games and Netflix or the on-site sauna.

Absolute beginners are encouraged to book onto a few lessons first, while advanced skiers can work up to the daredevil Black Eagle Run. One day of lessons costs around €85 (subject to change). For more information on lift passes & equipment, please download our trip notes.  

Though we’re sure you’ll spend hours perfecting your ski run on the slopes, there’s a few activities available in case you feel like switching it up. From a ski safari to a day trip to serene Salzburg, the included activities on this trip will introduce you to the Alpine and Baroque landscapes that Austria is so famous for.

It’s easy to travel between mountains by taking the ski bus to other resorts! For this trip you’ll be based inside Austria’s largest interconnected skiing area. There’s eight other villages you can explore during your trip, alongside a wide range of ski pistes. 

If you want to add even more variety to your trip, tobogganing is available at an additional cost. Dashing through the snow has never been easier than on this evening tour. Everyone gets two runs each on this thrilling activity with dinner included!

For an extra adrenaline rush, book onto an Austrian Paragliding experience at a supplementary cost. You’ll be led by a professional pilot as you glide through icy mountains and cosy valleys thousands of feet up in the sky. Please note the maximum weight limit for this activity is 115kg.

Travellers are expected to organise their travelling up to Wörgl train station. The nearest airport is Innsbruck (INN) Airport. There is a train service available from Innsbruck HBF to Wörgl that takes 25 minutes. 
 
Once you arrive at Wörgl, simply go to the front of the station for your transfer shuttle to the chalet. They depart at 8:30am, 10:30am, 2:30pm and 4:30pm, and no pre-booking is needed.
 
The trip ends on the morning of day 8. Travellers can take the shuttle back to Wörgl station, but will make their own way back from there.

Accommodation

This trip includes 7 nights’ accommodation in a sociable chalet that comes with an on-site sauna, a lounge area, dining room, shuttle service to the cable car and most notably, a Schnapps bar that hosts themed parties most evenings. 

You’ll stay in a single-sex triple or quad room, or you may be able to upgrade to a single room at an additional cost (subject to availability). All rooms are ensuite with a separate WC and walk-in shower.

Check-in hours are 2pm to 8pm, while check-out is from 7am to 10am.

Meals

8 breakfasts are included. 

You can sign up for a half board option at the chalet’s reception, which includes 2 courses for 5 nights. There are a few restaurants on the mountain which you can access by cable car. It’s also only a 15 minute walk away from the chalet to the local bakery. 

This trip is open to ages 18 to 35.

British citizens can stay in the EU for up to 90 days in a 180-day period without a visa.
