Day 1: Lima. Welcome to Lima! Meet your group and group leader at the welcome meeting and get to know each other over a few beers in Barranco! 

Day 2: Lima to Nazca. Enjoy breakfast and board a local bus, enjoying desert views as we head to Nazca. 

Day 3: Nazcar to Arequipa. Wander Nazcar and take local tours with some free time today. For dinner, we’ll try out the ancient tradition “Pachamanca” to help prepare our delicious dinner. After, we’ll jump on an overnight bus to Arequipa.

Day 4: Arequipa. Explore the ‘white city’, filled with fascinating history. Test some local foods, visit museums and the beautiful Santa Catalina Monastery. 

Day 5: Arequipa to Colca Canyon. Take a guided tour of Colca Valley and an overnight adventure to
Colca Canyon - famed for being one of the deepest canyons in the world. Spot resident llama, vicuña and alpaca! 

Day 6: Colca Canyon. Rise and shine early in the morning as we head to spot condors soaring through the air! Before we hop on an overnight bus to Cusco, we’ll stop off in quaint local villages along the way. 

Day 7: Cusco. Spend today freely enjoying the buzzing city. You may opt to take a Cusco cooking class or get your heart racing with mountain biking. Or learn more about Cusco’s history on a city tour and sip coffee in traditional cafes. 

Day 8: Cusco to Ccaccaccollo. Today we’ll learn about weaving as we meet a women’s weaving co-op, meeting locals and sleeping in a homestay! 

Day 9: Ccaccaccollo to Ollantaytambo. Travel through the Sacred Valley of the Incas as we prepare for a hike from Ollantaytambo tomorrow morning.

Day 10: Inca Trail. We’ll travel by van to km 82 where we’ll begin a stunning hike, spotting ruin sites along the trail. All meals are included for the duration of the hike to keep you fuelled up! Please note: if the Inca Trail passes are sold out, the tour will do the Lares Trek instead. 

Day 11: Inca Trail. It’s time to tackle Dead Woman’s Pass today, where we’ll reach our highest point! Soak up the mountain air and memorable views. 

Day 12: Inca Trail. Hike through incredible Runquraqay and historic Incan constructions. Tonight, we’ll camp at the ruins of Phuyupatamarca! 

Day 13: Machu Picchu to Cusco. Wake up before the sun as we walk to Machu Picchu to watch a once-in-a-lifetime sunrise! Explore the beautiful ruins with a guided tour, getting insider info and an expert guide! Head back to Cusco in the afternoon for a few drinks to celebrate! 

Day 14: Cusco. It’s time to say your goodbyes! Reminisce on lifelong memories with your new friends and start planning your next adventure with us soon!

You may arrive on Day 1 at any time as there are no planned activities on this day. You will be able to find information about your welcome meeting, which will be during the evening on Day 1, in your hotel. 

Jorge Chavez International Airport in Callao Lima is approximately 45 minute drive from the starting accommodation. Use the official taxi stand after the customs and immigration area in the airport, where you can pay approximately $27 USD. You can also pay in advance for an airport transfer. 

Accommodation
This tour includes 13 nights of accommodation, including 7 nights in simple hotels, 2 nights on an overnight bus, 1 homestay, and 3 nights camping. 

Meals
This tour includes 10 breakfasts, 4 lunches and 5 dinners. You will need to purchase all remaining meals yourself, which is a great opportunity to try local cuisines. 

You must be at least 18 years old to participate on this tour. The tour is designed for 18-35 year olds. British nationals do not need a visa to stay in Peru. At the airport, you will be granted permission to remain in the country for up to 30 days. For travellers who would like to stay longer in Peru, you must apply for permission on arrival. Ensure that your passport has an expiration date of at least 6 months after the day that you arrive.
