Enjoy an epic 27 day tour through 4 amazing Asian countries: Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore and Indonesia!
Day 1: Arrive in Bangkok. Welcome meeting with your group and guide.
Day 2: Bangkok/Surat Thani. Optional activities include visits to Wat Po, the Grand Palace or a Klong boat tour. Your guide will take you on a street food crawl before you board an overnight train to Surat Thani.
Day 3: Surat Thani/Khao Sok. Head over to the beautiful nature reserve of Khao Sok and walk the hiking trails, or lounge on the river bank and watch the local monkeys splash around in the water.
Day 4-5: Koh Samui. Hop on a bus then a boat to the gorgeous party isle of Koh Samui and enjoy the beach and nightlife in style. On day 5 we'll take a trip to the close by Ang Thong Marine Park for some snorkelling and island exploring.
Day 6: Koh Samui/George Town. Travel across the border into magical Malaysia to Penang, the "Pearl of the Orient".
Day 7: George Town. A full free day in George Town, Penang with lots of great optional activities on offer.
Day 8: George Town/Chenderoh Lake. Enjoy a traditional village homestay by gorgeous Chenderoh Lake. You will interact with locals and have the option to go trekking, kayaking and fishing.
Day 9: Cameron Highlands. Travel to the beautiful Cameron Highlands and spend the day exploring. Walk the hiking trails, visit tea plantations or enjoy the cool hill climate.
Day 10: Cameron Highlands/Kuala Lumpur. Enjoy the buzz of Malaysia’s capital Kuala Lumpur and see all the highlights of this city – don’t miss the views from the famous Petronas Towers.
Day 11: Kuala Lumpur. A free day to discover Kuala Lumpur. Head out of town on an optional tour to the Batu Caves or visit the Orang Asli Museum.
Day 12: Kuala Lumpur/Melaka. Head to Melaka and relax or tour the canals by boat as you enjoy your final day in lovely Malaysia.
Day 13: Melaka/Singapore. Cross the border onto the island of Singapore and sign up for an optional harbour cruise or go on the famous Night Safari.
Day 14: Singapore/Jakarta, Indonesia. Fly to Jakarta, Indonesia’s capital and the heart of Java.
Day 15: Jakarta/Cianjur. Travel via Bogor to Cianjur, visit floating villages, choose to teach English to local kids and experience a slice of Indonesian life at an overnight homestay.
Day 16: Cianjur/Bandung. Bus in to Bandung and take a brief orientation tour, followed by some independent exploration time.
Day 17: Bandung/Yogyakarta. A scenic train journey takes you across country from Bandung to Yogyakarta today.
Days 18–19: Yogyakarta. Optional activities include visits to the Buddhist Borobudur temple complex, local Javanese temples, or to majestic Mt Merapi.
Day 20: Yogyakarta/Ngadas. Overnight homestay in Ngadas. Learn about a local community's way of life.
Day 21: Ngadas/Bromo. Say farewell to your hosts and explore the village. Trek to the smouldering, volcanic Mt Bromo.
Day 22: Bromo/Red Island. Enjoy an early morning hike to see the sunrise over Mt Bromo and then head to exquisite Red Island.
Day 23: Red Island. Learn to skim across the waves like a pro with an included surf lesson. Explore the nearby village.
Day 24: Red Island/Pemuteran, Bali. Get the bus and boat to Bali and head to the beach at picture-perfect Pemuteran.
Day 25: Pemuteran. Relax by the beach in Bali, or join an optional snorkelling or scuba diving trip to magical Menjangan Island.
Day 26: Pemuteran /Kuta. Travel to coastal Kuta. Celebrate your final night in style with your group.
Day 27: Kuta. Your Asian adventure ends today in Kuta. You are free to depart at any time.

Accommodation
26 nights’ shared accommodation are included on this trip. You’ll stay in:
- Simple hotels (twin-share) - 15 nights
- Basic bungalows - 2 night
- Surf camp dorms (multi-share) – 2 nights
- Sleeper train - 1 night
- Inn - 1 night
- Homestay (multi-share) - 3 nights
- Eco-lodge - 2 nights
The rooms that you will be staying in are typical backpacker-style accommodation, often with shared facilities, so you can try out a taste of authentic Asia - it's all part of the travel experience! Some nights on this tour will be multi-share. This may involve 4-6 group members sharing a room.In some major cities in Malaysia and Singapore, hotel rooms do not have windows.
During the Cianjur homestay, you’ll stay in a big house. Up to 5 travellers will be sharing each room, and there are 3 bathroom facilities to be shared by the group.
During the Ngadas homestay, the group will be divided amongst a number of houses in the community. Each family will host 2-3 travellers. You’ll stay in small rooms with beds and bedding provided. Showers are separate and warm water should be available. Please note that towels and toiletries are not provided so be sure to bring your own.
At the surf camp in Red Island, you’ll stay in dorm-style rooms with en suite bathroom facilities and up to 6 people per room.
Meals
19 breakfasts, 2 lunches, and 2 dinners are included. Asia is famous for its street food and delicious, spicy dishes so you’ll never be far from your next feed! Two street food crawls are included on this tour and your guide will point you in the direction of the tastiest local meals.
The minimum age to join this trip is 18. This trip is designed for travellers aged 18-39.
Thailand - British passport holders arriving by air or land can enter Thailand for 60 days without a visa.
Malaysia - British passport holders will normally be given permission to stay in Malaysia for 3 months upon arrival.
Indonesia - You can apply for an e-visa before arrival on the Indonesian immigration website or obtain a 30-day visa on arrival for a cost of approximately £25. Make sure your passport is valid for at least 6 months from your date of entry into Indonesia and at least two pages are available in your passport.
A tourism levy of approximately £8 is payable upon each entry in to the island of Bali via an air or sea port (including re-entry from surrounding islands).
All countries require a valid passport (with a minimum 6 months validity). Contact your local embassy, or consulate for the most up-to-date visa requirements.
